This guide covers opening an Easypaisa mobile wallet — Telenor SIM requirement, USSD registration, biometric KYC for full access, and what Level 2 unlocks.

Step 1

Telenor SIM Registered in Your CNIC Name

Easypaisa is Telenor Pakistan's mobile financial platform — your Easypaisa wallet is linked to your Telenor mobile number. The Telenor SIM must be biometrically registered in your own CNIC name through NADRA's verification system. If you need a Telenor SIM, visit any Telenor franchise or authorised retailer with your original CNIC for biometric SIM registration.

Step 2

Register via USSD *786#

Dial *786# from your Telenor SIM. Select Open Easypaisa Account. Enter your 13-digit CNIC number. Set a 5-digit MPIN for authenticating transactions. Confirm the PIN. Your Easypaisa account activates immediately as Level 1 basic account with standard daily limits.

Step 3

Upgrade to Level 2 via Biometric Verification

For the full Easypaisa feature set and higher transaction limits, visit any Telenor Franchise or Easypaisa agent centre with your original CNIC. The agent runs NADRA biometric fingerprint verification on-site. After successful verification, your account upgrades to Level 2 (Full KYC). Level 2 unlocks: Rs. 50,000 per day limit, Khushali Bachat savings account, Easypaisa loan products through Telenor Microfinance Bank, and BISP Kafalat payment collection eligibility.

Step 4

Download the Easypaisa App

Download from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Log in with your Telenor number and MPIN. The Easypaisa app gives you access to all features: send money, pay utility bills, buy mobile loads, make bank transfers, view transaction history, and manage the Khushali Bachat savings account interface.

Transaction and Account Problems

The SIM may not be biometrically verified yet — biometric verification is a prerequisite for Easypaisa registration. Visit a Telenor franchise to complete SIM biometric verification, then try the *786# registration again.

Frequently Asked Questions

No — Easypaisa requires a Telenor mobile number as the account identifier. If you use a different operator, use JazzCash (Jazz), UPaisa (Ufone), or consider SadaPay or NayaPay which are network-agnostic.

Level 2 increases the daily transaction limit to Rs. 50,000, enables the Khushali Bachat savings account, provides access to Easypaisa loan products, and makes you eligible to receive BISP Kafalat payments.
